Reparations...how do you feel about it.
Personally I feel that Reparations should be paid for slavery and for America's treatment of Indians. Yes I said Indians because many Indians feel that the term Native American is a derogatory one.
America benefited and prospered from the mistreatment of Human Beings. Much like what is happening now with "illegal aliens".
What are your feelings?

Quite interesting that the DUmmies attitudes about racism when they think no one is looking.
Some want the money and victim hood while others realizing they will be paying want no part of it.

Native Americans are offended by the term "Native American"? What the hell are we supposed to call 'em? Maybe you/they should look into their governing bodies and see if there's any corruption. Seems to me those casinos rake in a pretty penny, ya think?
It makes my stomach turn to think that our government paid reparations to Japanese Americans. For what? IT WAS A WORLD WAR! Even a great mind like Einstein was shunned when it came to time hand pick scientists for the Manhattan Project. Sucks, but hey, lives were saved I'm sure. (BTW: I got NO problem with Gitmo or waterboarding either!)
Have you noticed a trend in this country to play the race card? It's not just for blacks/african americans/negros anymore! The race card knows no limits unless you're white (and especially white male) (thank you affirmative action!) then it doesn't apply.
As for illegal aliens, what part of ILLEGAL don't you understand? What part of sneaking over the border don't you get? Why is it so hard for your ilk to understand that our tax dollars (your's too dipshit!) are feeding/housing/clothing/medicating people who have NO right to be here! Mamasita takes a squat this side of the border and BAM! we have a natural born citizen!

You know, I'm curious as to why Native Americans are a popular topic on Skins's island these past few days.
There's been an occasional campfire built there, about Native Americans, but these past few days, there's been a lot of campfires related to the subject.
It must be one of those ephermal trends among the primitives, the "victim of the day" deal.
I suggest if a primitive wishes to understand the problems Native Americans have, he float off of Skins's island and go to a real Indian reservation, in real life, on his own time and his own dime, to check things out--specifically in North Dakota, South Dakota (especially South Dakota), and Nebraska.
Just go there and look; no guides, no itinerary, no one else's money.

As for Frank's comment about why they are so interested in coddling the Indians all of a sudden, maybe there's some anniversary coming up? Or maybe they are pushing to make January a Native American History Month.

Why would Native Americans rather be called Indians? It was a name given to them solely because of ignorance of the worlds geography. It was not their original name. If they don't want to be called Native Americans, I could understand that, but why would they prefer to be called a mislabelled name instead of something like who their people actually where?

You know, I doubt that allegation by that primitive.
A primitive's about as likely to have encountered an authentic Native American as I am to have played golf with William Howard Taft.
In North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska, both "Native American" and "Indian" are considered acceptable.
I use "Native American" myself, because as you stated, the ignorance of geography.

I once heard a term for this group of people...one that seems better suited..."First Americans".

I thought "Indian" was not PC anymore? There are High Schools in my neck of the woods that have had Indians as mascots for mroe than 100 years who've gone to war over being called "Chieftains" or some such silliness..
Now we're back to Native American?
