I am hosting and have a beloved 88 year old aunt coming. If she ever caught Covid at my home, I would never forgive myself.

Then don’t have her over!!!  How ****ing stupid are these people?!  Either do it and let people know the risks, or DON’T do it!

We’re going to do our normal thing and we all know the risks. I heard on the news last week there is some kind of contagious cold going around. I think we’ll survive.

There is a 99.5% chance I’ll survive the Rona of I get it. I’m willing to take my chances.

after 88 years of living and then being your aunt, she might be hoping to catch it. OTOH, she may just be realistic and prefer to see her family since she nor any of know the number of days she has left.

I have an aunt who turned 103 in April. For now she still lives alone in her own house. She welcomes any and all visitors, whether family or friends. No quarantine or mask silliness.

If I’m not mistaken, he was exempt from the state rules pursuant to the overarching national rule that liberals are entitled to ignore social distancing guidelines so long as it’s for an Important Cause™. Like holding mass demonstrations against police brutality.

To my dying day I’ll believe that a person should conduct themselves responsibly irrespective of what others do. But how mad can one be at Californians who’ll hear this news about Gavin Newsom and think, “F*** it, I’m having a big family Thanksgiving”?

When we were at a restaurant on another night I mentioned in passing Goobernor Noisome's recommendation that restaurant diners pull up their masks between every bite. My son expressed doubt that Noisome has actually said that - very reasonably, because it does sound to nutso to be true. Later I found and emailed him a news link (CBS, IIRC) about it; his email response was "wow". I don't know his politics, D vs. R or Trump vs. ______, and don't feel a need to know. I think he's of the A Pox o' Both Your Heads "political party".

If the DUmmies want to hide under their beds in their mom's basement,  that's fine with me, but I chose not to live in fear of a virus with a very low fatality rate.
