New York Mets' Francisco Rodriguez says beef with Yankees' Brian Bruney is 'in the past'

NEW YORK -- Don't expect any more drama when Mets and Yankees relievers cross paths during batting practice Friday. At least not from Francisco Rodriguez.

K-Rod said he is no longer upset at Yankees reliever Brian Bruney, whose criticism of Rodriguez led to an on-field confrontation between the two when the Yankees and Mets played at Yankee Stadium earlier this month.

"I have better stuff to worry about," K-Rod said. "That's in the past. I don't carry that on me. [Friday] I just have to go out there and do my job, and that's it."

Rodriguez did sound excited to see the Yankees again, though. It was the Yankees that handed him his first loss and blown save of the season on June 12. Okay, more like Luis Castillo handed him the loss and blown save. But still, K-Rod seems to relish the big stage, and the Subway Series provides that.

"I have to go out there now and try to beat them," Rodriguez said. "It's going to be a really good challenge for us, especially with all the stuff we have going around here, so it's going to be good.".....
