While at the grocery store the other day, I noticed grape jelly, same brand, two differently-sized jars, the smaller one more expensive than the larger one.
Exactly the same ingredients, with a minor difference.
The larger, cheaper, jar has "corn syrup."
The smaller, more expensive, jar has "high-fructose corn syrup."
Figuring the one with merely corn syrup, and not this high-fructose stuff, was the better bargain, I bought it. (I don't do jelly a whole lot; this 32-ounce jar is perhaps going to last me six or eight months.)
Was this a good decision, or a bad one?
