Syrian state TV and witnesses said late Sunday that airstrikes had hit a military airport near the city of Homs shortly after a suspected chemical attack that killed at least 40 people in a suburb of the capital city, Damascus, over the weekend.

It was not immediately clear which country launched the strikes. The report on SANA said the attack on the T4 military airbase "is likely to be an American aggression." However, U.S. officials denied that it had launched airstrikes on Syria.

Israel has also struck inside Syria in recent years.

Things are getting dicey in Syria as it always has been.

From the Book of Isaiah

Quote
17 A prophecy against Damascus:

"See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.

2  The cities of Aroer will be deserted and left to flocks, which will lie down, with no one to make them afraid.

3  The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim, and royal power from Damascus; the remnant of Aram will be like the glory of the Israelites,” declares the Lord Almighty.

Apparently the Syrians now blame Israel, claiming to have shot down 5 of 8 missiles.

President Trump was just on, describing a strike by the French and US Navies with cruise missiles.  There's explosions reported in Damascus by AFP.  The Theodore Roosevelt strike group is still a week away from getting within range of Syria.
