We do somewhere. I haven't seen it a few years, though.
-
I do as well.......although I haven't a clue where Mrs. doc hid my album collection. My stuff seems to move around all the time, and turn up in the unlikeliest places.

OK, let me re-phrase that question........ how about an "Active" turntable?? Not one stashed away some place.

I have a box full of records. No turntable, though. :(

Mine's active, hooked up and functioning......I just can't find the records, and by the time I get motivated enough to look for them, she has moved them somewhere else, and even SHE has forgotten where they are.....

I have quite a few old records, vinyl 33s and old 78s,some one sided but at this point nothing to play them on.

Got vinyl. 10 best jazz albums. Found it at half price books for $15.
No turntable though, so I've never listened to them. :bawl:
That's what I'm asking for for Christmas.
-
I do, still active AR Legend w/ a Denon DL160 MC cart.
It's on the right, in the corner. Don't mind the wall-o-speakers. :-)

Truth is vinyl still smokes CD's without a doubt. The only thing in the same ballpark is SACD and DVDA both of which are dead formats.
In an era when people listen to MP3's through plastic speakers and earbuds true high end audio is doomed.

My parents do along with a gazillion records. I need to check it out and see what they have. I remember them having Michael Jackson Thriller and Van Halen records, but there were some really really old ones. Or at least really really old to me.

Wait a Minute! There's something else? lol.
I have several very active turntables and a ton of records. Then again this is coming from the guy who still uses Laserdiscs.

I don't even have a regular CD player. Everything is DVD or BlueRay.

That's because you have no taste !! :loser: :rotf: :rotf: On the serious side, I've read of where vinyl and turntables are making a comeback.

I think they are. CDs and mp3s are fine for most hip hop, rap, modern pop/rock and country music but classic rock and definitely classical music sounds noticeably better on vinyl .

Here!
(Bought the turntable in order to run the vinyl off into the 'puter...)

My mom still has my Pathe cabinet crankwound phonograph and records-- because I have no room for it here :(

I never got rid of my turntable. I bought it from Circuit City, Norfolk, Va , back in 1978. It still plays like new. I'm in the process of ripping my vinyl to mp3s. I need a new double rca to 1/8" stereo adapter because I messed up my computer and broke a cable end. I'll be back in business after I get that. What've noticed is that vinyl has more sustainment of notes & percussion than CDs or most mp3s. CDs fall flat, especially when it comes to cymbals.
