Amber Alert - Easy Come, Easy Go.

A good friend sent me a package today...

It had some little things one needs out on the street in it. Two of these things were a scarf and some gloves.

As I was coming down the street I saw a old Veteran that I have met a few times at the VA when I was with my ex. He was setting in the sun to warm up from a chilly night. He is a first Iraqi war vet and had some major issues with PTSD.

He has no coat, just a thin sweatshirt. I had no coat to give, but I did have the gloves and the scarf. I talked him into going to the VA to see if they had any coats in there Vet Closet. Or at least get some heaver sweats.

This is just one of the many scenes one sees everyday. To many of those that fought for our country are now begging in the streets. Many of them suffer from mental distress.

When one sees all this fighting in the House and Senate, one wonders, "Do they really know what is going on in real America? Do they really understand what pain so many are going through?"

The Conservative Republican's have been proving they don't.

Amber DUche, welcome to Obama's America.

The population of the Tucson metropolitan area is about 1 million people.

Amber keeps running into dregs of society.

You're doing it all wrong Amber, clean yourself up, get your act together and hang out in some normal places with normal people and you might have better luck.

Cough cough.  Which party is the first one to cut veterans programs?  Who put the yellow tape around the WWII memorial?  Which party spit in the faces of veterans and called them baby killers? Which group donates the most to charities?

So she's lived in Arizona, even on the streets and she needed someone to send her gloves?  Why didn't she buy them and pack them before going back there knowing what the weather is like?

Enjoy your asphalt studio apartment with the curbside view and....

Exactly.  :hi5:

I spent all my time in the Yuma area and, briefly, visited my brother at ASU, Phoenix, but even then, Tucson was a shithole.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Every time she posts we see another sign of her lack of foresight.  She had $300 when she left Joplin.  She could have easily taken $20 and gone to a thrift store to pick up some warm clothes before she headed back to Tucson.  If she really cared about the homeless, she would get a job so that she could buy them warm clothes herself.

I think Amber has standards.  She only humps vets that have a VA check coming in.

Longs to be a widow of one......I'd be careful If I were a single vet.

I still think that photo of her heart throb could be a twin of that degenerate at the SF gay festival with Pee Pot written on his shirt.   He so fascinated me I believe his face was burned into my brain, Why, well the worse the train wreck the more we look I guess. Not every day one sees degeneracy in action to that height.

Ther are some great people here on DU!
I was sent a little care package from one of my friends here. It had all the little stuff one needs and would not think about in it.

It was a great surprise! And yes I did give the scarf and gloves to one that needed it more than me since I still have mine. But that just made it even better since someone else got a little warmth from my friend too!

How did they know where to send it?

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

I'd like to think it's because we are progressives and Democrats.

I think that's the main reason, besides the fact that we, in general, rock.

I would worry about getting scorpions in my sleeping bag.  But maybe she found another shelter to stay in.  At least she hasn't had her computer ripped off yet.
