  • Nothing personal.
David Allen did two things at once:

1. He put an even heavier boot on his prisoner's necks with the jury system and the donate system.

2. In so doing he has created moments of mirth for us that we literally could not have bought for a million dollars.

To David Allen - TE SALUD.

It's also easier to capture posts.

I used to edit out the "alert/post reply/crap" as extraneous. Now the C&P doesn't capture that so that lightens my work considerably.

I love it, thank you David Allen!

skimmer did have a moment of temporary lack of judgement when he rebranded the Soapbox forum to General Discussion.

The DUmmies didn't like it and moaned and groaned and cried like little girls. They didn't like the name or format. Skimmer changed the name back the GD but left the format alone. The DUmmies are happy now.

Maybe because the word "soap" scared them?

As for simply changing the name of something but not the content satisfying the primitives, well, that's a primary characteristic of the primitives.  The name's the thing, the name's all there is to it.

Oh goody.
DUcubed is back to the circle of one year olds spashing in their Pablum again. :yahoo:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Do you remember when they changed the GD Presidential forum name? I forget how it went exactly, but they threw such a fit that he had to change it back.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Yeah. It use to be GD Politics before it became GD presidential. It went presidential when obama got elected.

I think.

I think they changed it to GD election 2008 or something like that, then after 0bama was sworn in, he changed it back to GD politics, but they threw a fit so he renamed it GD presidential.

A bit off topic, but I am curious. Why are they calling it DU3? I don't recall there being 2 versions of DU, only the one they have had since they opened the doors. Did I miss something?

I think this is the second software change, but this one is more noticeable than the other one.  DU 3.  The third times a charm, this time they will get their socialist forum right.

and they've been bitching about it ever since.  That really was funny to see, when they renamed the GD to Soapbox.  It was just like a mental hospital, when they inadvertently served green jello on Tuesday instead of red.  There was much fretting, wringing of hands, vaguely threatening muttering, whiny mewling.
