1. He should stroll across the river to the Pentagon.

I'm sure they will be happy to give him a plum assignment for his courage and loyalty to country.

He was already gone from the DOD jobs for a reason...

13. Unlikely

The Pentagon has probably already received a call...Lt Colonel Vindman is likely on the short list for retirement...or a deployment to Afghanistan!!!

If I were him, I'd take the retirement!!!

8. Col Vindman knew this would be the case. He's active-duty military and will be reassigned within the Defense Department.

Btw, I really don't think he'd want this to trigger self hate in the people he fought with against what the Republicans have become. He knows what's at stake and who's on his side of this great national battle and who is not.

So maybe we should all uncover a little of our inner Vindman.

He's active duty military and failed as part of a coup attempt...

43. Sure hope he picks up a new higher Rank.

Both he and his Brother.

There will be so many wrongful discharge Law Suits for years after this bunch of Criminals are expelled from Capital Hill.

Fortunately, the Vindman Brothers will be able to serve out their Hitch without Political Idiots in their faces daily.

6. Talk about sending the wrong message

People like Ambassador Yovanovitch and Vindman were the ones who should have received the medal of freedom - not a racist scumbag like Limbaugh

11. Trump might just try to revoke his commission.

Watch. He'd love to do that.

15. What does "revoking a commission" mean?

I googled it, but I don't understand what I'm seeing.

:whatever:   The Secretary, under such regulations as he may prescribe, may revoke the commission of any regular officer on active duty who, at the date of such revocation, has had less than five years of continuous service as a commissioned officer in the Regular Coast Guard.

(Added Pub. L. 88–130, § 1(10)(C), Sept. 24, 1963, 77 Stat. 183; amended Pub. L. 107–295, title IV, § 416(a)(1), Nov. 25, 2002, 116 Stat. 2121.)

Pretty sure he's been in longer than five years.

The new President awards him the Medal of Honor in 2021. Being a good Christian he visits tRump while he is in prison to tell him he has forgiven him.

59. When he runs out of victims and wants more names,

will the republican senators turn in the democratic voters in their districts? Will they need to brand us with a tattoo for identification?

What's the problem exactly?

He was insubordinate. He was upset that Trump didn't use his talking points. He was called to air his grievances publicly. You don't get to be insubordinate and expect that you can keep your job. He didn't use your talking points? Oh, too bad! Trump can use whatever talking points he pleases.

Pretty sure any assignment to the NSC is 'At the pleasure of the President,' or at least one of his appointees.  Escorting someone out of a high security area is pretty SOP, but he deserved it particularly as clearly any trust placed in him has been broken beyond repair.

Promotion to a higher grade?!?  For someone who is just a Foreign Area Officer with no command time, it's a miracle he made O5.  It is extremely hard to make O6 and the chances of the Senate approving any promotion list he showed up on (If that miracle happened) are the the ultimate longshot.

This is just my conjecture, but everything I've seen about Yovanovich is that she was working much more in Russia's interest than Ukraine's, though possibly her loyalty to Obama and Clinton (NOT the USA) outweighed her Russian priority.  Her ass should have been fired when Trump came into office three years back.  It appears to me that she and Vindman, along with others, were involved in their own little cabal that was not pursuing the best interests of the USA, Ukraine, or Donald J. Trump.
