I've noticed that this o'roarke guy has a resemblance to bobby kennedy. I'm surprised the democrat party hasn't capitalized on this and made him go by his real name of bobby rather than beto.

We call it Cali (not pronounced like the LL Cool J song) or Califas all the time. Given that Latinos are the largest racial group in California, you may want to get used to it.

I was born and raised in So Cal. No we don't call it Cali nor Califas. Ever. The closest I ever heard in my 50+ years was "So Cal" - pronounced "Sew Kal." I think they might also use "Nor-Kal."

Similarly, I was born/raised in NorCal and lived in the Sacto area and Silicon Valley almost my whole life. SoCal and NorCal are pretty common usage.

There is a great congressional race in NH featuring a flaming White Demon_cratic and a Black Republican. Of course I suspect all party loyalists will eschew the latter for the former. White fudge packers matter more than Black conservatives don't ya know. :cheersmate:

Actually, no. Half of Zimmerman's family heritage is "white", but 3 of his great-grandparents were Hispanic (Peruvian, IIRC) and a 4th was black. As best I can tell, Bobby has as much Hispanic heritage as I do, none at all.

From what I understand, most of Robert's money is coming in from out of state. I don't think that should be legal at all. I don't know how you would ever stop it, and I seriously don't understand why others would want to influence an election in a state they have nothing to do with.
