HOW RICH ARE YOU?
Every year we gaze enviously at the lists of the richest people in world. Wondering what it would be like to have that sort of cash. But where would you sit on one of those lists? Here's your chance to find out.
Just enter your annual income into the box below and hit 'show me the money'
http://www.globalrichlist.com /
I suggest one click on the link provided by the primitive, to see.

2. top 2.88% in the world
number 173,043,479.
Doesn't take what I OWE into account, though...
I'd be fine if it wasn't for the @#$% credit card...and, yes, I know, I shouldn't use it...but, it's hard to avoid when you're NOT rich (by American standards) and supporting 2 adults.

3. Cool...I haven't seen HyperCard since my old Mac II.
I'm guessing this wasn't an MIT project.
I checked out for Playboy Pedro, who ranks in the top .07% wealthiest people in the world, according to the link.
No surprise there.

4. Wealth is your net assets not your annual income.
Add up the market value of what you own plus any liquid assets like cash and marketable securities. Subtract what you owe and that is how wealthy you are. I have a pretty good income but I'm not wealthy by any means.
But the test explicitly states it's based upon income, not assets.
That's an imperfect definition of "wealth," but nothing in life is exactly perfect.

16. $150,000 is the top 5% in the US
We're the richest country in the world and there's only 300 million of us. If your income is in the top 5% in this country, how much better off are you than the billions in complete poverty?

43. If $150,000 is in the top 5% and my paltry $17,500 is between 11 &12% there is something drastically wrong with the world and especially our country.

Think about it.
Several billion people, most in complete poverty.

62. complete poverty would be they have nowhere to live & nothing to eat.
not the case in china at least. most people have housing & food, even if it's not luxurious.
though plenty of people in luxury in china; they bought more cars than americans this year.

66. 10% on less than a dollar a day
130 million people in China in complete poverty. There are many more people who are in complete dispair in this world than even live in the US. Obviously our wealth and income, either one, is the top 10% in the world.
I cannot understand why people fight this. I have never seen a child in this country who had no other choice but to look for food in a garbage dump. There are millions like that around the world.

72. Huh?
A lot of people in China live in the kind of poverty that we Americans can't even imagine-I have lived there.... Don't believe the RW conspiracy garbage-if you are an American (westerner really), you have it better than most of the world. We kid ourselves when we think otherwise...

83. huh? was there something in my post about most chinese being richer than westerners, or not being poor by western standards?
what does "complete poverty" mean to you? to me it means homeless & starving. are most chinese homeless & starving? you tell me. i know someone who lives there, too. she never mentioned that.
"Complete poverty" to a primitive means having to use the computer at the library for internet service.

You're in the TOP 0.01% richest people in the world!
If you only knew how little I care
Of course the mikey primitive doesn't care, any more than he cares about 0bama being wealthy, or Vast Teddy being wealthy, or the Bostonian Billionaire being wealthy, or Blarney Frank being wealthy, &c., &c., &c.
Since they're Democrats, it's okay.

30. It says we are among the top .001%.... BS Try buying a house for cash in Silicon Valley for 3x our yearly income. There is NO way we are among the 107,000 richest in the world.....not possible. I looked at their 'calculations' page and it was QUITE sparse in detail.
There's a lot of primitive bickering at this bonfire; it's a big one.

Do you have indoor plumbing?
If you answered yes, you are already in the top 50% of wealth.
Do you own a car?
Welcome to the top 10% of wealth

42. You are the 701,964,412 richest person in the world! You're in the TOP 11.69%
And I earn less than $18,000 per year. Even earning that much, I've had to cancel my health insurance, which amounted to approximately 1/5th of my gross income. It was a choice between paying the rent or having a benefit that I have only used 3 times over the past 6 years. Money in my pocket for gas, groceries etc fell behind my health care needs.

57. Top 2.3%, I really do feel I'm rich
I make $43,000 a year. I have a house, a truck, a little boat and trailer. I have cable TV, high speed internet, I play golf a few times a month, I have health insurance, my son has health insuance, I have $4,000 in my checking account and more in savings.
I really dobelieve I am in the top 2.3% in the world, we do live in the wealthiest country so it only makes sense the portion of our population that lives in poverty is still probably in the top 20% in the world.
