They have other 20 Questions games... the Simpsons, Harry Potter, the Old Testament.

I played the Harry Potter version and it got the answer (Ollivander's) within 17 questions. I need to go back and read the books, and go after a much less obvious topic. :uhsure:

I had to use Wikipedia to answer some of the questions. I think it got 'Rigel VII' in less than 20. It missed the Sheliac, though.

I took your idea one step further -- Dr. Jackson Roykirk was known to 20IQ, but there seem to be disagreements on how he should be known. 20IQ said I won, but pointed out some discrepancies to my set of answers based on other input.

My favorite of all the ST series was "Darmok"
The U.S.S. Enterprise receives a signal from "The Children of Tama," an alien race that has no history of violence, but whose language has been deemed "incomprehensible" to humans. Hovering above an uninhabited planet, Picard and the crew hope to establish relations with the Tamarians. But while he and Dathon, the Tamarian captain, make several attempts to communicate over their viewscreens, neither can understand the other. Suddenly Dathon turns to him, armed with two daggers, and both captains dematerialize and are transported to the surface of the planet below.
The idea of inference as a critical component of communications is really examined and exposed. For example, if you were to say "she is such a Brittany/Paris" (meaning no-talent celebrity slut) or even just blurt "Leave Brittany alone!"(meaning the person with whom I am dealing with is an idiot and a fag) the Universal Translator could translate the words and never in a bazillion years translate the meaning behind the words as arranged).
Despite the left's hijacking of the word, there is a nuance there that actually is intellectually engaging.

They had "the Iotians," in their list at the end when they ask you submit the answer, but not "Iotia"

Ok now I REALLY stumped it--that is, after it asks for the answer, a very important key word--"subspace"--brings up everything with that key word, but not what I was thinking of:
"the subspace aliens from 'Schisms'"

I got lectured by IQ -- I was thinking of the Ferngei Whip (which it did list at then end) and then it proceeded to channel my ex-wife by telling me all the correct things I said wrong.
