Because the string pullers want as little spotlight on Joe as possible, cause every time he opens his mouth, his incompetence, incoherence, or incontinence become more glaring.  Sometimes all at the same time. 

Meanwhile, the Left has nothing to run on but lies and Trump hate, and the lies are harder to maintain in a connected world.  So, it's back to all Orange Man Bad, all the time.
