Bob reminds of of this John Cleese characters from Monty Python's Flying Circus where he is in his back yard reading a newspaper and starts on a rant, something like, "I hate them! I hate them!" over and over again.

Then his wife calls to him and he's all, "Yes dear."

It's kind of an obscure one and not one of the funniest but it is apt.
