Why this race is so close?
Although many polls may say otherwise, many people believe this race between Clinton and Trump is much closer than some might think.

Many Democrats are befuddled that Hillary Clinton is not leading by at least 20 percentage points. How could a candidate with the deficiencies of Trump be so close?

A-hem...http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/white_house_watch

Hillary Clinton’s post-convention lead has disappeared, putting her behind Donald Trump for the first time nationally since mid-July.

The latest weekly Rasmussen Reports White House Watch national telephone and online survey shows Trump with 40% support to Clinton’s 39% among Likely U.S. Voters, after Clinton led 42% to 38% a week ago.
Most of the DUmmies blame big media for wanting the ad revenue that a tight race generates. They even lump Thom Hartman in with the "big media".

A major reason for this tight race is the person you support is a horrible person and a terrible candidate.

I myself am not even going to guess, speculate, if the race is tight or not.

I don't believe any of the polls, not a single bit.  This campaign has been the most dishonestly-reported of any in my life, including even the way the news media fawned all over Humphrey in 1968, Carter in 1976 and 1980, Mundane in 1984, Dukakis in 1988, Clinton in 1992 and 1996, Alphonse Capote Gore in 2000, the Bostonian Billionaire in 2004, and the Big Zero in 2008 and 2012.

This one's got those seriously-skewed media coverages all beat to Hell.

We'll know the truth election night, but not before.  It's reasonable to assume all the news stories and the polls are lies and so should be ignored.

When Trump blows Hilary out of the water it will be a double suck for the DUmmies.

Here's why:

The Democrats will not want to take any responsibility for putting up a horror show for a candidate. The jerkpines will recall ad nausium to the inhabitants of Skins Island the stupid notion that Bernie would do better than Hilary against Trump. Of course the bernsters will blame the hillites for losing the election and saving the country. The clintonites will blame the bernsters for throwing votes to the greens and such. The civil war between the Clinton wing and the sanders wing intensifies and takes some of the punch out of their mutual desire to vilify the newly minted President Trump.

The trend has been against Hitlery and for Trump, to the point that he is either within the margin of error or even with her in more and more of them.  If things continue as they are, the lines are going to cross and she'll be trying to catch up.  Don't worry Democrats, she's kicking his ass!

I'm not a pollcat, but Rasmussen released a poll today (or last evening?) that had Trump ahead of The SHREW by 1%. That definitely puts it in the margin of error, plus the effects of any undecideds.

The SHREW's decision, made several years ago, to stonewall and brazen through Benghazi and her email server fiasco has been serving her poorly. The result has been like acid dripping (continual incremental revelations) on a support rope, slowly eating away at it with every drip. The MSM have been all-in for The SHREW, but have had to maintain a veneer of balance by covering the continual revelations. I have a feeling that some MSM folk are becoming so seethingly furious at having to shill for The SHREW that their fury might overcome their loathing of Rs generally, and Trump particularly. IF that happens, just before the election, it could get very      .
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? The beast loses support when she is silent,as she desires, but then also when she speaks so she has been depending on the media to campaign for her.

Trump has stolen the show right now.

Delay, stonewalling, pretending it didn't happen, and outright lies worked in 2012 on Benghazi, but the attack occurred only two months before the election.  Aside from that one instance, they collectively represent a terrible long-run strategy because enough of the truth eventually comes out to make you look like a complete weasel POS, usually at the worst possible time.

I think what influenced her stonewall strategy was that, to her perception, it worked well enough to keep WJC in the WH for 2 terms, including surviving impeachment. It's at least an arguable perception, when coupled with a partisan MSM. What has changed, however, is that Fox News has become more significant, and the Internet has become vastly more significant as a source for news and opinion than it was during WJC's MALAdministration. In the 1990s ConservaTalk radio and Fox were fairly effective MSM bypass, but the Internet - plus those outlets - has surpassed that state of affairs.

The SHREW miscalculated, badly - how badly may be seen in November (a lot could happen between now and then, on both sides).

A good number of people do not trust her and do not like her.

When the negative polling results are virtually equal between Hillary and Cheeto Hair, that is sending us a YUGE signal.

To complicate matters, her campaign seems tepid. Teh Donald manages to monopolize the TV coverage almost every day. Her coverage today was limited to a tweet she (or someone on her behalf) sent.

Whatever else Trump may be, deranged, sociopathic, psychopathic, delusional, or just an out and out liar, he is also a master at getting and holding the media's attention.

There was a editorial comic strip in today's Chi Trib. The topic was the total lack of Hillary's press conferences this year.

She herself has admitted that she is a lousy campaigner, and that is a problem, especially when Teh Donald repeatedly and consistently uses the media to define her. Her failure to strike back is worrisome.

The polls will get worse, and Team Hillary will have to redefine themselves yet again, just like they did against Bernie. Except, Bernie is a gentleman, something that is a concept alien, unthinkable, and unknown to Teh Donald.

From my point of view, they squandered too many opportunities during the primaries. They are repeating the same mistakes here and now. We can still lose this thing. If we do, she can only blame herself and what I believe has been a lousy campaign. Ten weeks and Teh Donald is getting closer each day? That should induce a colonic spasm so grand in her campaign staff that they will all need a new set of clothing.
