Pipeline Widow: The Case Todd Palin is Not Trig Palin's Dad

There is a HUGE cultural gap that folks in the Lower 48 do not understand: the whole Alaska Pipeline Culture. Todd Palin works a lucrative job on the North Slope which requires him to work one week on, one week off. Simply put, he's hundreds of miles away from his wife and family for a good majority of the time.

In Alaska there is a term that was coined back in the 70s, "Pipeline Widow," for the spouses left behind by pipeline workers. There are travel booths set up on the North Slope where a worker can go and get a plane ticket to anywhere in the world, and when the pipeliners were making $200 per hour, they'd travel the world on their time off. I won't elaborate on some of the behaviors only to say that this strained arrangement frequently broke up marriages and families.

Sometimes the strain is too much on the spouse who isn't working on the Pipeline. I've heard of cases where the man came home only to find the locks changed on his own house with his replacement now living with his soon to be ex-wife.

Where I'm going with this is that the initial concern is that Bristol was Trig's mom, but now we need to ask the question: who is Trig's dad?

Mainstream reporters swamped the McCain/Palin campaign with requests for paternity tests and proof that Sarah Palin was the child's mother, which they've absolutely refused to provide.

To quote a right-wing mainstay, "If you have nothing to hide, why don't you show the proof?"

Is Sarah Palin hiding the true identity of the father of her fifth child, perhaps even from her own husband?

Other tidbits have been surfacing to suggest Sarah and Todd's relationship might be a more open marriage than your standard Christian arrangement. Note this quote from an AP article:

"Palin told The Associated Press that she and her husband, Todd, made a bet on whether Murkowski would run. If the governor says he'll enter the race, Palin has to get the Big Dipper tattooed on her ankle. If Murkowski says no, Todd gets a wedding ring inked on his finger."

Why on EARTH would she make that statement about her long time husband? What is going on with these people? There is something fishy going on here, and I think we deserve an answer since the McCain/Palin campaign has been so defensive of these issues, even going as far to cancel public appearances on normally Republican friendly TV shows like the Larry King Show.

Clearly they are hiding something, or else they wouldn't be so defensive with the media, angrily chastising them the way they have.

I can only hope that some  reporter confronts Todd Palin and asks him to take a paternity test.

  This is why the saner people, who have not been purged, have fled the DUmp. I have exiled myself until the Wednesday after the election, when I will go back and gloat about how they and the dems nominated the least qualified candidate they had. It will be fun.
