An aquaintence is on King of the Nerds
« on: February 01, 2013, 12:06:09 PM »
I have known Danielle for around 4 years or so. While I have never met her face to face I've spent 4-6 hours with her (online in WOW and vent) a week for the last 4 years. At first I watched the show to give her support, but I kind of like the show now. We all have a little geek and nerd in us. On last nights episode she got betrayed. I talked to her after. She said the editing made it look like she tried to sway the guy that betrayed her, but she didn't.

Video clip

She is a self proclaimed WOW expert and vlogger.

I'm actually watching this show.  To me it looked like when the guy (josh?) first told her he was going to vote her off, she pulled the whole crying stunt and he then said he'd vote for himself.  If she was actually dumb enough to believe anyone would vote for them self, she shouldn't be on a game show.  I couldn't believe she actually thought she could manipulate someone into doing something that wasn't in their best interest with just a few tears.

I talked to her after I watched that episode. According to her (I've never known her to lie) the conversation they had was over an hour long. She did not manipulate the conversation at all. The crying they showed was about his saying the team thought she was the weakest link when the fact she has been one of the strongest competitors, which she proved during the nerd off. She did not ask Josh not to vote for her nor did she manipulate Josh. The show was edited to make it look like she was trying to manipulate him. She also believed him, because she says up to that point he was one of the guys she was close with. Add to that the first week there was a guy that voted for himself.

While I agree that she is naive, Josh lacks moral character for lying straight to her face and to the others about it.

Okay so the show is over and Danielle finished 3rd.

Last night her and half of my PVP group got all pissy with me because I said the way she came off on the show was like a spoiled 12 year old. She cried and manipulated others. She caused drama and held grudges that didn't do her any good. Even if she would have made it to the final 2 she would have lost on votes alone. I also said if you don't want to know what others think don't ask what they think just say "tell me how great I am".

I have known Danielle bla bla bla...

Dac,
I sort of got hooked on this show because of my boys are all nerd gamers, but if I had to say one of the people there caught my attention it would be Danielle. I have not watched all the seasons episodes and have not seen the final, but I am (was) rooting for her.

This is stupid but if you could pass on my regards to her and tell her that I'd ask her out anytime.

And a bitchslap because you are making me act all goofy.

That is her Facebook fan page. She does not give out her personal page very often.

I was pulling for her also, but she was really cry babyish the last couple of episodes.
