I had FFC Diamond Merlot not too long ago. It was possibly the best merlot I have ever had.

you merlot people should try (if you haven't yet) a shiraz.  merlot was always a blending grape and was never intended to be a varietal.

"sex fiend" has always been a confusing phrase for me.  it should mean someone who is diabolically opposed to sex . . . .  yet another failing in our language, I suppose.

Hint: try it a little warmer than usual, like around 55F (same temp as you'd drink a Guiness).  MUCH better that way.

penfolds, yes?  outstanding!  rosemount is another great mid-priced australian red.  they also pioneered the use of synthetic corks, which I initially viewed with bottomless contempt, but later came to appreciate.
