CHICAGO ELIMINATED FROM THE 2016 HOST CITY VOTE

1625: Well, isn't that a turn up for the books? Chicago are eliminated in the first round - cue audible gasps around the auditorium - and a second round of voting opens immediately.

All politics aside, it's probably for the best, they would've taken a total financial bath on it and much of the advance planning was both stupid and based on demonstrably-false assumptions.

My dad once told me years ago that if I wished to see the wonderful wild side of life to go to Rio before Lent.  He told me to prepare to run naked on the beach under the full moon covered with chicken blood.  Naturally he never thought I would such a thing but in his life time he had been there done that.

What fun the people of Rio will have, much more fun then the stiff necks in Chicago, the prudes in city government.

It will be a world of fantasy, the mother of the New Orleans party time scenes and parades will be specular,

Ah Rio the one place on earth where one can run naked with no one noticing. The City of of wild living and and fantasies, the one place that that one wants to visit just once in their life to let it all hang out.

The beat of the drums, the music and the floats with half naked people in costumes that take your breath away=======Good choice, why go to Chicago an up tight place when Rio is where the action is.
