Well I just read that McCain is gonna announce his VEEP pick this week to help counter the media wave that Obama is getting for his trip.

$10 it's Ron Paul.

He is going to make a major announcement in Louisiana Thursday. Don't know whether it will be a VP pick or not. Hoping it is not Jindal; we need him as Gov. for 8 years in this state to clean up the mess.
I switch one of my votes to Jindal, that would be fantabulous!  He's kind of young but seems way more mature and experienced than the Messiah.  Yeah!  This could work!

I spose there is a rule about having more than 1 VP? Bummer. I go with Romney for the economy, Steele for smarts and appeal,Jindal for broad appeal, and Crist for Florida and hes so darn cute  :naughty:

Id go with Romney and Rice -

Romney works fairly well economically, and has a way of getting things done even when surrounded by Democrats - Since he would be working closely with The House and Senate, this is important. He is all an excellent speaker and exudes statesman, A VP spot would line him up for a run at President at the end of McCain's term.

Condi - because like GWB, she is unwavering in her positions. Leadership takes foresight and fortitude and she possess both. Her experience with the current GWoT and inside knowledge on international relations would be most helpful in terms of diplomacy.

Who the hell thinks Tom Ridge is a good idea? Granted, he was my governor for 7 years, but remember his plastic wrap and duct tape rant from 2002?

Unfit for command, as they say.
I would beg to differ with the notion that the current administration is *NOT* the most transparent in history. It certainly is...because you can see right through them.

I haven't heard anything along those lines.

My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

Jindal was interviewed on either Meet the Press or Mike Wallace yesterday morning and said he would not be the VP choice. Felt his place, for now, was to help LA get back on track and that's where he's needed right now....and where he planned to stay.

Crist would certainly bring in FL. I think he'll put Romney in his Cabinet.

I had to vote other, to capture the vote with someone that may not be bad at all I say Governor Sarah Palin.
It goes against my grain as one who thinks that the 19th Amendment needs to be repealed, but that ticket just may get McCain in over osamaobama.  :-)

I'm starting to lean toward Mayor McCheese.  From the old McDonald commercials where they ripped of H. R. PuffNStuff.

If he's going to go with a chick, I think it should be Sarah Michelle Geller.  She's as unqualified as any Senator and she's hawt.

I mean, why are we still pretending this is anything more than a "please the media" contest?  If we are going to be trying to please the media, let's give them something they will really be pleased with.  And someone I don't mind looking at on TV a lot.

While Palin would be great to look at the next 4, she's not experienced enough. More than Obama, I'll give you, being the Mayor of Wasilla and the governor of Alaska, but not enough for me.

Perhaps this is where I should actually join the cave, if I'm welcome.

I like Palin, and think this is a brilliant pick.  I also think this solidifies the argument of style over substance is over.
