Having worked in tip jobs as recently as a year ago, I can tell you that when someone doesn't tip, that's one thing. To me, it's almost MORE insulting when someone leaves a pathetically shitty tip for what was good service. Almost makes you want to drag the ****er back to the board explaining wage laws and show them the part about how tipped employees make LESS than min. wage, and ask them if they enjoy screwing people over like that.
Have you and my son been talking to each other?
He applied Thursday to another restaurant, that I didn't realize he hadn't checked before he went to Applebee's, but it wasn't there when he left in 2002, and I didn't even think about it...
They hired 4 servers Wednesday. When he went in yesterday to check on his application, turned out he'd gone to HS with the server manager....who just happens to be female...she told him to call her next week to see if someone didn't work out. Something tells me he could be there soon.
He bartended at a private club in NE for the last year and a half, and would really rather do that, but bartending jobs are hard to find.
