BRASILIA, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Far-right lawmaker Jair Bolsonaro won Brazil's presidential election on Sunday, riding a wave of frustration over corruption and crime that brought a dramatic swing to the right in the world's fourth-largest democracy.

With 94 percent of ballots counted, Bolsonaro had 56 percent of the votes in the run-off election against left-wing hopeful Fernando Haddad of the Workers Party (PT), who had 44 percent, according to the electoral authority TSE.

Jair Bolsonaro has won the Brazilian election.

Brazil looks set to pivot sharply to the right Sunday with the election of a former Army captain who wants to privatize state companies in an ailing economy, liberalize gun ownership and mine the rain forest.

Barring an upset, Jair Bolsonaro, 63, will win the presidency after a divisive campaign that encompassed his stabbing, an onslaught of fake news and the imprisonment on corruption charges of former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who had been the front-runner. Lula’s successor, Fernando Haddad, 55, has largely failed to shake off public anger over his Workers’ Party’s record of graft.

I don't follow Brazilian politics, so is he "Far Right", as in Jews should flee the country and political opponents are headed for concentration camps in the Amazon?

Or is he "Far Right" as in more conservative than US MSM and will get the government off business people's ass, not try to nationalize them, but allow them to grow?

Brazil is an oligarchy and has been for decades. However, it has worked for decades and overall has been a stable country with large amounts of natural resources. My guess is this new president is conservative in that he will restore Brazil to that which has worked for all those years.
