Why am I not learning to speak Japanese?

I suscribe to this channel at You Tube....Every episode there is a new JWOW (Japanese Word of the Week), But I still can't remember hearing a single Japanese word.

You can't remember the words because you don't have enough opportunity to use them - same reason I've forgotten much of what little I knew.  I don't remember what part of the country you are in, but maybe there is some sort of Japanese-American club you could join.  Obviously this would be easier where there are greater concentrations of Japanese people but you get where I'm going.  

For what it's worth, I lived in Japan for 7 years and change.  It's a very easy language to pronounce (easier than English), but putting sentences together may be a challenge.  And forget reading it!  :lmao:
