the oblate spheroid's noticed life is better

Oh my.

From the closed meta forum, so no link, sorry.

Big campfire, so only a few primitive comments brought over.

236. And this is why I am no longer a star member

Nor care to...

I am sad that yet one more member is driven away by the bully brigade, but as long as the owners keep on doing nothing.

I also post less OPs and I have noticed that life is better, and who cares to post here when I have a couple papers (where we are actually making a real difference) to write for?

DU used to be fun...these days not so much. And it is less and less fun by the day.

Well, maybe that's the trick.

If the oblate spheroid flaunted herself around less, life would be better for her.

There's much to be said for reticence and modesty.

233. Cyber bullying is real

234. The problem is...

when some posters, much like yourself, consider disagreement to be bullying.

For example...http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021950722

What that does is devalue the true meaning of "bullying".

232. Hey, I am glad others have noticed now

That said, been on this crusade for close to seven years. Don Quixote is my middle name. It just has gotten worst.

237. "Don Quixote" is 2 names

Just wanted to point that out, lest you seem confused.

Like when you said we had 51 states...

Technically, Don Quixote is an honorific and a name  :whistling:

I guess when you finally get 4990 of 5000 on your ignore list things do get quieter.

"DU used to be fun" until even my fellow DUmmies finally had enough of my know-it-all antics.

A MALE honorific at that, though admittedly strangers meeting Needinabrewski for the first time may occasionally stall for a few sentences to figure out the gender thing...

240. I used to post analysis. Which was mostly wrong.

But here, why bother? Some people even took offense at 100% of the human residents in this house not liking the bully sketch on SNL. It is crazy. This place used to be...different.

Now it is not unlike it's mirror image. What?  :rotf:

It's sad, but on the bright side I spend far more time working than wasting my time here...and it is wasting time. Yet continues to post there.  :lmao:

I know the political class pays attention to this place...I feel sorry for the lowly staffer who has to read this place any more, to be honest. There are jewels, but it's getting harder to find any grains of wheat in the deep piled manure

Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
