Update on the call

I was able to talk to my mom over skype (so the satellite is not down).... she talked with family from Cleveland, so will start digging to see if this is a So Cal issue.

(For those missing this, we did have a quake, and quakes sometimes do that)

You know, I've been watching this "trick" of the oblate spheroid for a long time now.

She lights one campfire on one particular topic.

And when when she wants to draw attention to herself with an update, rather than commenting at the first campfire, she starts a whole new one.

Such as what I did here.  I should've put the topic as a comment on our good friend dane's thread here in the DUmpster, because they're related; this one's an update on what dane had posted.

But no, franksolich wanted to draw attention to himself, and so started a whole new thread.

For many months, all her posts have been so empty, so vapid, so stupid, I didn't even realize she was gone.
