Obviously into the harder stuff. Just not death metal. Too hard to understand.

When one of your most popular albums doesn't contain a single song you've written.

Right now I am listening to a replay of "The Who" live in Hyde Park(26 June 2015; 19 song playlist)...

There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

I love the radio broadcast opening to this one.  It's rare to find any broadcast radio shows from back when.

That is neat.  I love finding old films of "real life" like that.

It's sort of mind boggling to think the man you are seeing being buried was born in 1830- 186 years ago.

Yeah, and what makes me melancholy is that there's probably nobody still alive, nobody at all, either a participant or a spectator on the sidewalk, who was in that film; not even one of the little kids.

Two things I noticed: the store signs in Hebrew, and.....the riders in plumed helmets seemed to have more control over their horses than riders in plumed helmets do today.

If you look at the birthday or jubilee parades in London, for example, those guys riding down the streets on horses (and wearing plumed helmets) look as if they're being manipulated by yo-yo strings, the way they bounce up-and-down, up-and-down.

In this film, it looks as if a hundred years ago, that yo-yoing up-and-down wasn't a problem.

<<<since can't hear, tends to notice things in films hearing people don't.

You may be right--  chances are that you are.  However, I present to you this case, filmed in 1918:

That is Gloria Swanson as the mother.  The baby she is holding is actually Fay McKenzie, just before she turned one year old.  Fay is still with us today.

Another one that is of interest is that of Rose Marie.  I happened on her by listening to some old Fletcher Henderson records, and looked up who was doing the vocal accompaniment.  She got her start in vaudeville in 1926, and had her own nationally broadcasted NBC radio show by 1928.  As near as I can tell, she's the only remaining vaudevillian veteran still hanging around.

Put this into whatever genre you want, as I have no clue.  I have about a dozen or so of their LPs, and some earlier shellacs.  Call the music good or bad, but you can't deny they had some nice covers:

and then there is this cover... take from this what you want:

Composed by Vince Guaraldi -- the same guy that did all that great music for the Peanuts shows.

Sadly, the real quality and genius of his work wasn't recognized until after he died.

This is what I consider to be the best interpretation.

As I was rummaging around in a flea market today, I saw a little metal box and popped it open on the off chance that it contained 78s.  I got lucky as it had nearly 30 records with most being in a condition that would best be described as "old store stock".  The majority of the records were early Carter Family issues on the Montgomery Ward label.  It's hard to imagine this record is almost 90 years old, as it appears like it was pressed yesterday.

Why is this song included on every single 'Best Of' album?  It sucks.

Carter family, as in June Carter Cash?
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.
