Went to see "Ironman 3" last night...

I liked it. Incredible special effects.

We saw previews for at least 5 or 6 movies coming out between now and November (yes...NOVEMBER!!) Special effects are sure different with all the digital capabilities these days. Each one seems to top the next!!

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Saw a BBC drama on Netflix, called North and South. It is pretty good..

Holy shit, I'm dying here.  :rotf: :lmao:

I just watched Adam Sandler's "That's My Boy".  You have to watch this movie.  It's awesome.

That was a series made for tv.  It is one of my favorites.

Last night I watched a movie on ABCFamily called "The Family That Preys".  It was a good chick-flick.

Friday I watched a 3 part British mini-series called Archangel that I liked so much I am going to read the novel which is by Robert Harris, a post-cold war political thriller staring Daniel Craig.

Saturday, watched Silver Lining Playbook which was entertaining and Looper which was a better-than-expected sci-fi yarn that I wish could have been a little bit better.

I've had Archangel in my netflix queue for months and I haven't watched it yet but since you've given it a recommendation, I'll get right on it.

With the recent miserable weather in the Midwest, I watched Twister the other night.  Saw it in the theater 17 years ago, hadn't seen it since.

I watched the series Sherlock over the past week. Excellently excellent.

Apparently, both principles are in The Hobbit.

Did you recognize Alvin York's army buddy--the one that was a "pusher' on the subway--as a young Abner Kravits, the husband of Mrs. Kravits, the nosy neighbor on the show Bewitched?

Down With Love from 2003.  One of my favorite light hearted movies.

A taste of this funny movie, and Ewan McGregor dancing in a towel  :-*

This post made me recall the best movies:
I loved Moonrise Kingdom -a nostalgic look of 1965 New England with the hidden imperfection of life exposed
The Magic of Belle Isle because it was about self-forgiveness and he's a writer too.
Jurassic Park because it was fun to see it on the big screen in 3D and I was surprised how much I missed from seeing it on TV.  I loved kick-ass movies too but they are just entertainment, and you I never think about them afterwards.

Last night was movie night with son and his girlfriend.

Choice was Hangover III or Now You See Me.

Based on Euph's comment regarding Now You See Me, which I told the others, we went to Hangover III.

We agreed son would pay for movie tickets, and we would pay for dinner. Even with "old people's discount" (as he told the person when he ordered the tickets -  :hammer: ) it was the same price as dinner for 4, not counting tip.

At least dinner was good.  :banghead:
