So...how do you use the three shells?  I mean, if it's now your reality, please share  :-)
I don't know what the writer's intent was but I read a Larry Niven book once where a guy is frozen, woken up in the far future, ends up back at earth in an even farther future and there are these little sponges that seem to transport the waste to an 'instant elsewhere."

That is how I always saw the three seashells. The size is simply dependent on the size of the ass. Or so sussed I.

Saturday went to see Oz. I enjoyed it very much. I felt it was one of those family movies that wasn't overly sexualized.

Yesterday watched Anna Karenina which, I liked the staging and the music but it seemed about 30 minutes too long and I came to loathe the eponymous character by the end. I understand the movie is like the cliff notes of Tolstoy, though. So maybe Tolstoy had a point but the movie didn't have much of one, IMO.

watched Les Miserables on Sunday. Great!

If one is a fan of Patrick McGoohan's The Prisoner on may see many symbolic similarities.

I'll be reading/listening to the book when I finish Lord of the Rings.

I also watched the 1952 version staring Michael Renne when TCM had it's day of Les Mis last year, not a musical but very good. Fills in some gaps here and there while creating others filled in by the current musical version.

I went to Olympus has Fallen last weekend.  North Korean terrorists take over the White House and a single ex-Ranger secret serviceman saves the president.  Two thumbs up.

For those of you with Netflix, there's a new movie showing called Osombie.  I saw it last night.  Coalition forces in Afghanistan fighting zombies.

Watched The Impossible last night.

Based on the true story of a family who survived the 2004 tsunami.  I liked it although I felt it was Spielbergian in its audience emotional manipulation.

It has been available on Netflix streaming too.

The day after I watched Runaway Slave I watched Occupy Unmasked on Netflix which was okay but it did serve to show what a great movie Runaway Slave is.

Watched the Made-for-TV Spielberg classic, Duel, last night.

So good. Why did you ever have to get so famous, Mr. Spielberg?

Watched the Pyramids of Mars night before last (BBC America was having a retrospective on 50 Years of Dr. Who).  God I love Tom Baker!

I saw that.

I'm dreading the Peter Davidson retrospective.  He's easily the worst Doctor Who (excluding David Tennant).

I really liked seeing it as a whole movie instead of the 30 minute segments I used to have to watch it in when I was in HS and it was on the local PBS channel. You had to wait a whole week to see the next segment!  :bawl:

Snow White and the Huntsman and Wrath of the Titans. Thank goodness I didn't spend money on either of those. I recorded them during premium channels' free preview weekends. Both movies were terrible.
