Oklahoma State ran back the kickoff to start the second half, against Texas, for a touchdown.  So what does Texas do on the ensuing kickoff?  Run that back for a touchdown.  Strange.

I got back home about an hour ago, and was dicking around with other stuff, and just now got back to this.

Ohio State 17, Illinois 7, final.

Northwestern 31, Iowa 41, final.

Next week, Nebraska plays Minnesota at Minnesota.  Minnesota has a pretty good team, being 29-20-2 against Nebraska.  Minnesota's the only team besides Oklahoma who's played Nebraska for any great length of time (say, circa at least 25 times), with a winning record against Nebraska.

I guess I'm going to have to brush up on my reading the history of Oklahoma's little brother; I can't shake this impression of "cellar dweller," even though it's been the wrong impression for some years now.

I just nadined the whole deal, being abysmally behind on news about Oklahoma State.

Their overall record is 519–522–40, which is something better than I thought it'd be.

And they beat Texas in 2010, 33-16.

It's an eye-opener.

I guess the memory's clouded by Nebraska's 42-game winning streak against them.

I'm always for both of them in all their games excepting when Auburn plays Alabama in which case I'm always for Alabama.

My guess is something like Oklahoma 72, Kansas 17, by the time it's over.

Oklahoma must've had a few problems; I'll read about it in the newspapers in the morning.

Next week, Texas Tech plays at Oklahoma.

Alas for Texas Tech, but remember, Texas Tech a few years ago scored more points on Nebraska (this was during the Callahan era) than any other team ever did.
