Two hurt in shooting
, FROM STAFF REPORTS

OAKLAND — An East Oakland shooting in broad daylight Saturday afternoon left two adults hospitalized in serious but stable condition, police said.
A man and woman were shot about 11 a.m. while standing in the street in the 2300 block of 90th Avenue, Sgt. Barry Hofmann said. He added that he could not provide further details because police were still investigating.

A TV news team was nearby when the victims were gunned down. A reporter and cameraman were about two blocks away at the scene of a blaze that erupted earlier on 90th Avenue.

A neighbor said gunfire was common but not an ev eryday event in the area. "You never know what you're going to get," the neighbor said.

I see nothing about the fact that those doing the shootingt probably got the guns illegally..........not a big deal, let's punish the lawful gun owners instead....................... :mental:

This somehow reminds me of the first (and only) time I called both cats and dog in for dinner with their dishes side-by-side. Why did I assume that the dog would somehow know which dishes were his, instead of just gobbling up everyone's food?

They might want to check the DOJ statistics as to what demographic group seems to commit the bulk of the violent crimes in these cities.........but we couldn't do that.....talking about these things might not be "politically correct".....its much easer to pass more laws affecting only those who will abide by them.
