Bummer to have opened the show with a tape of  the young luger's death run.  Wasn't expecting them to show him actually crashing.

Matt Lauer was totally annoying and ruined the parade of athletes by making it all about medals and politics ("Only Ireland separates Israel and Iran!").  Can't we just celebrate them being there !?  Ack.  NBC doesn't disappoint, lol.

Ok, here's my favorite  5 minutes of Olympics, in my lifetime anyhow............from the days when our hockey teams were scrappy college kids, not NHL All-Stars!

I got so frustrated by him constantly talking over the official announcements  :whatever:  I also don't understand why they played it with such a time delay.

After the pairs figure skating short program, best we can finish is 10 & 14 ?  Final round tonight, maybe they'll skate well without the pressure.  But dang, we have the best figure skating program in the world, this is disappointing  :(

Wow! That American figure skater, Johnny something, is the most embarrassing flamer I've ever seen on network television. Faggier than Jon Heder's character in "Blades of Glory".

Makes Richard Simmons look like a pro wrestler.

Johnny Weir?  Yeah, he makes Clay Aiken look straight.

That was done because the Russians had been using professional players for many years and were pretty much taking the gold every Olympics....All it did was level the ice if you will. :-)

Johnny Weir?  Yeah, he makes Clay Aiken look straight.

Yeah, he's a poofter, but PETA threatened him for Weir's use of real animal fur in his costumes.  He said that he'd switch, but then switched back.  The fact that he switched back to real fur (Arctic fox, I think) gets him points in my book.
