Then, add in the jinx that is Gary Sheffield, who is Dwight Gooden's nephew, and things
really get interesting. But, the Mets added a right-handed power bat for the middle of the lineup. Even at 40, Sheffield is an imposing presence at the plate. Either Ryan Church is going to ride some pine, or Marlon Anderson's days with the Mets are over. If the latter is the case, expect Anderson to find his way to Milwaulkee. Why? Willie Randolph is the bench coach there, and Anderson likes Randolph a lot.
