KTRK. According to Houston Police, the man pulled into the restaurant to grab a shirt from his trunk. He said that's when a man armed with a gun walked up to him and tried to rob him.

Police said the victim went to grab his own gun to defend himself when the suspect started shooting him. The victim was shot a total of seven times, according to investigators, and was hit in his chest, both of his legs and his hand

If only the victim had cried and peed his pants *maybe* he wouldn't have been shot...
I'd rather go down fighting personally... but until I'm in *that* situation  I can't say for certain what I'd do...

When he refused, the suspect started shooting at him, striking him seven times in the chest, legs and hand.

“A lot more of our suspects have guns involved, and not only do they have guns, they’re using them,” said Sr. Ofc. Jeff Brieden with HPD’s Robbery Division.

Police said while the man was being shot at, he was able to reach for his gun and fire at the suspect, who was possibly injured but he got away.

Video: Gun owner shot 7 times while fighting off robbery suspect in southwest Houston, police say

Houston police are looking for a suspect who they say shot a man seven times outside of a fast-food restaurant in southwest Houston.

On Friday, May 28, Houston police responded to reports of a shooting in the 3100 block of Fountain View Drive.

Police said a man pulled into the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant to grab something out of his trunk when a suspect approached him with a gun and demanded his belongings.

The man told police he resisted the suspect and attempted to grab his own gun, but was shot seven times -- once in the chest, four times in the left leg, once in his right leg, and once in his hand. While being shot at, police said the victim was able to grab his gun and fire back at the suspect, possibly striking him. Police said the victim was then able to get back into his vehicle and drive to a local hospital.

The suspect fled the scene in a small white SUV, according to police.

It's funny, just a little while ago, I watched a YouTube video about 7 bad guys who messed with the wrong people. Some among the seven were... you guessed it! Stopped in their tracks by a good samaritan with a gun!
