franksolich:
Well, as of the end of August, just before Labor Day:

291 blacks murdered in Chicago, 20 known murderers were black
41 Hispanics murdered in Chicago, 4 known murderers were Hispanic
13 whites murdered in Chicago, 1 known murderer was white

349 total murders to date

Rogers Park, Big Mo's neighborhood on the extreme northern fringe of Chicago, less than 5 murders to date

Two thirds of Chicago are relatively safe, with the obvious occasional crimes.  If you clearly look at the map, not hard to recognize the trouble spots.

And the dingbat new mayor is blaming the gun problem on Republicans:

Most of the murders in Chicago are targeted in which the murderer and victim know each other. They settle an old score and/or out for revenge.

No one wants to come forward out of fear of retaliation or hate police.

Well, Chicago had 514 homocides in 2019, a little less than the year before.

The map's kind of hard to read, but it looks as if Big Mo's neighborhood, Rogers Park, recently had a triple homocide.

You seem to be correct in Little Mo's hood.  The map is pretty recognizable to those who live in the metro area or have.  My old neighborhood had one homicide, which is a historical rarity (usually zero).  Just a cursory glance at the map shows where the trouble areas are even if one isn't familiar with the layout.
