Television Test Patterns
« on: January 03, 2008, 06:40:25 PM »
Remember those test patterns you see in the middle of the night on television. Televisions stations called it the night. Either it is the color bar pattern or with black and white, the Indian head. Also, you hear a tone played at a certain frequency, music, or feed from a radio station.

And don't forget the National Anthem every morning!

God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.

God alone suffices.

Every Morning and every night at sign off. The "tone" was a 1 KHz test tone.

I remember the anthem too. Cool stuff. Here's High Flight which they use before sign off.

I remember when some stations signed on everyday with a devotional and a pray.  A Christian prayer.

Sometimes around here depending on which of the 3 local stations did it,they would play the national anthem to a video with the US military as a theme.

One of the country radio stations plays the National Anthem, sung by George Jones every morning.    :usflag:
