Title: Boston Bruins fans take over the National Anthem

OK...this brought a tear to my eye.

I remember the Braves played the Mets in the first game at Shea Stadium after 9/11. The emotions were very high. Tom Glavine (who is from Boston), and the Braves broadcasters, noted that that was one game they didn't mind losing. I'm not a hockey fan, so I don't know if the Bruins won last night; but I hope they did.

Chipper Jones said, of the Mike Piazza home run late in that game (which turned out to be the difference), that he was muttering "Get out of here!" at the ball, as it headed for the outfield fence.

The Bruins lost 3-2 in a shootout.

I remember hearing that now that you mention it.

It irritates me that sports fans start cheering before the anthem os over. It happens all the time.

That was a great moment last night. So spontaneous.

I agree, but I think part of it is the over-exposure we get, and sometimes its the endless renditions that self-possessed celebrity singers bring us. The fans are anxious for the game. Innocent enough, I think.
