Title: Humboldt Squid Fishing.
Post by: Mr Mannn on December 26, 2012, 07:48:12 PM
I personally draw the line with octopi and squid. Won't eat em.
Still the humboldt is a dangerous catch. they have killed people before. That beak can take out a fist size chunk of flesh. These squid can swarm, school, and go into a feeding frenzy.
bumped into this on You Tube. This guy makes it look easy.
I laugh as he ignores all his wife's advice.

In South Korea, the squid  impregnate you. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2159692/Womans-mouth-falls-pregnant-squid-biting-sea-creature-scientists-claim.html)

they show up in Southern California  from time to time and are very easy to catch, but can be very messy.  We have cut them in strips about the size of frensh fries and fry them in oil.  Good with cocktail sauce and a beer.

They just made another appearance a few miles from my house

Huge squid cause 'mayhem'; 1,500 caught on weekend (http://www.ocregister.com/articles/squid-382689-dana-dyke.html)
