Yes but the change I would hope for in my state doesn't come up for another 3+ years.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Well, there's always the chance that the al Qaeda types that Lord ObeyWon is providing material support for will blow up in Barry's face.

McCaskill has been industriously trying to position her Obamabot self as a bipartisan reformer, with the aid of union ad money from AFSCME mainly.  She always has been sort of integrity-challenged.

She must be wrangling for a Cabinet position if the Oministration gets a round two.

There is no way Hatch will lose his primary.

He is an institution in Utah, and while the same was said of Bob Bennett (who was ousted in 2008 due to the Tea Party's renunciation of Bennett and his RINO big-government ways), four years will have passed when the 2012 election happens.

Hatch is no fool. He will bow and scrape and kiss rings and otherwise ingratiate himself to the Tea Party.

As a professional politician, Hatch has no honor. He has no sense of loyalty to anyone or anything other than himself.

IMHO, I think Hatch will say the things he needs to say to get reelected.

That's the way those people roll.

I agree, I see Senator Hatch winning a GOP primary. Hatch is a moderate republican, but I think if he runs a strong enough campaign he will do okay during the primaries.

As for Dick Lugar, I think he will lose a GOP primary. He is way too moderate for even the GOP establishment, let alone the tea party and traditional conservative republicans.

For Webb's (D-VA) seat, looks like a match-up between George Allen and Tim Kaine.    Should be fun!

Does help to explain why he does whatever the hell he feels like doing though. Even after he promises differently. Still would have rather had here than Perry as Governor, but I'm glad she'll be out of the Senate. Wonder who else is running besides Leppert.

Uh, no. House members are every two. Senate members are every six and staggered. Boehner is a House member. He's up for reelection next time around.

I don't know about that Gov comment, Mike.  Kinda the devil you know thing, you know?  Have you noticed how Perry seems to be doing things almost right, right now.  Funny how a Rebublican Majority will do that to a Gov, amazing, that.

Haven't heard a peep about anyone else other than Leppert so far.  I can't see anyone else getting a fair run against him, he is pretty popular.

Kohl is retiring in WI. So far on the GOP side Tommy Thompson and Mark Neumann are all but declared candidates. Tammy Baldwin is on the democrat side. I would prefer more GOP candidates who are not establishment or ethanol supporters though.

In the midst of all the presidential debates, I want to say that as much as we need a conservative president, he MUST be supplemented by a conservative Congress.

The Tea Party will be coming around on all the candidates as well. Keep in mind that it is MORE important to run CONSERVATIVES than to run REPUBLICANS. In fact, in some cases I would rather a conservative LOSE than a RINO WIN, because at least that gives us a solid front, rather than fence-sitters. Another convincing performance such as we had in '10 would be more important, in my opinion, than if Romney or Cain were president.

OBVIOUSLY, I prefer a Cain presidency with a Tea-Party CONTROLLED Congress. But if I had to have one or the other, I'd prefer RINO Romney with a Tea=Party Congress than Cain with a RINO-controlled Congress. I don't know if Romney would have the gonads to veto any legislation championed by conservatives or the Tea Party, but I DO know I want the legislation out there in the first place.

What is NOT an option is for Obama to remain president, but that won't be a problem unless Ron Paul is nominated, not gonna happen. Nor is it an option for Romney elected along with a RINO-controlled Congress.
"The main purpose of the Democrat Party and the Left is to destroy the United States, transform Western Civilization to a tribal-based dystopia, and to ultimately kill all conservatives and non progressives." - Jonah Kyle
