--- Quote ---BUFFALO, N.Y. — In the tell-all interview now seen by over half a million people, Buffalo Police officer Richard Hy blew the whistle on a series of alleged cover ups within Buffalo Public Schools.

The SVU officer took to the Unsubscribe Podcast Saturday to outline specific cases where he claims BPS officials and attorneys obstructed evidence and ignored subpoenas and court orders to cover up child abuse and sexual abuse within the district.

Hy even went into detail on a few cases, one in which he describes an attempted child abduction that he says went unreported to parents.

“When parents asked, ‘Why did my kid p–s his pants at school?’ The teachers and the people in charge did not tell them that there was an attempted abduction.”

Buffalo Public Schools responded to the allegations in a statement.

“The Buffalo Public School District is aware of unfortunate and recent allegations circulating in an online video.

“The district is prepared to vigorously address these untruths.

Buffalo Public Schools addresses recent abuse cover-up allegations

--- Quote ---BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Public School officials stayed behind closed doors Monday afternoon, spending almost three hours in an executive session discussing the shocking cover-up allegations made against the district over the weekend.
...
Following the lengthy closed-door discussion, the district’s leadership publicly responded to those allegations, saying an external independent investigation has been launched. The board says the results of that investigation will be shared publicly.

“The Buffalo Board of Education takes allegations about the well-being of our students seriously,” said Dr. Kathy Evans-Brown, President of the Buffalo Board of Education. “The Buffalo Board of Education and the district remain dedicated to protecting and educating its 30,000 students.”

The superintendent’s statement comes just 24 hours after the district called these allegations “untruths” in a separate statement. But district leadership did not use that same language or call the allegations false Monday.

New details on Buffalo detective's accusations of coverups of abuse at Buffalo Public Schools

--- Quote ---BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Police SVU Detective Richard Hy recently appeared on a popular YouTube podcast and accused Buffalo Public Schools officials of failing to protect children from abuse and even obstructing investigations by police.

We're taking a closer look at two cases he highlighted in the "Unsubscribed Podcast."

Back in February, Buffalo police arrested 30-year-old Shane Cronin of Lombard, Illinois, after he allegedly entered the Dr. Charles R. Drew Science Magnet School and approached a student. An assistant principal tried to intervene, and Cronin allegedly punched and shoved the assistant principal.
...
Hy told 7 News that there's much more to the story. He said that Cronin tried to abduct two children at the elementary school, a girl and a boy, but that the school never told the boy's family about the abduction attempt against him.

He also said that there's evidence that the school erased surveillance video of the incident, but that someone at the school took cell phone video of that incident and gave it investigators.

Notice the school district called the claims false, and in a later statement said there would be an investigation. IOW, the claimed incidents were not properly investigated or turned over to BPD for investigation, and despite the initial denial, the district will investigate the incidents (or shamvestigate-and-cover-up).

The claimed pattern here is what the US Catholic Church caught Hell for, deservedly, a decade or so ago. Will the MSM give this the same days and weeks of frontpage and top-of-the-6-O'clock-news given the Catholic Church? And thinking to ask, "What other school systems in what cities and states also cover up to protect their image?" I won't be holding my breath.

It amuses me to see hints of crap like this popping above the MSM's smokescreen while the MSM parrots teacher's union claims that homeschooling harbors and conceals abusers. Clean your own Augean stables before critiquing other stables' décor, union thug-bosses!

Buffalo School Story Not Getting Any Better

--- Quote ---I also took a shot and reached out to Detective Richard Hy, AKA Angry Cops, the gentleman who blew the whistle on what we're now learning about.

He responded, and I got a chance to talk to him about it.

It didn't make me feel any better about what's happening in Buffalo.

See, Hy's discussed a few cases, but I was curious how common this was. While he didn't have any hard numbers, he said he's had two cases of schools covering up abuse that he termed as "egregious" in the last six months. With 12 special victims unit detectives working for the Buffalo Police Department, if that is the norm, you're looking at 24 egregious cases in that time period or nearly 50 per year. As this seems to cover at least two years, we're looking at somewhere around 100 egregious cases.
...
We spoke about this incident (of a student having been raped). The principal in question did more than just fail to report the incident and claim she did her own investigation – something she's not properly equipped to do, by the way. Oh no.

First, it seems she sent what Hy described as a "scathing" letter to the victim that essentially seemed to say that the victim was "asking for it," a term I thought we'd finally relegated to the dustbin of history with rape cases, after her so-called investigation.

I'm normally a skeptic of all claims when I hear this stuff (you know, the real truth is almost always somewhere in the middle), but this guy is pretty solid, he wouldn't make this tuff up or exaggerate. My guess is that it's far worse than even he knows.

Edit: Here's the link to the original podcast that started it. Richad Hy is "Angry Cop" on youtube.
