Title: DUmmies finally reading The Federalists, don't understand it
Post by: FunkyZero on November 27, 2016, 08:19:18 AM
Ok, so NOW they are scouring even The Federalist Papers, trying to find some contradictory statement SOMEwhere that will arbitrarily support their argument. Funny how they ignore 99.9999% of it continually. Not that this section is even relevant to their plight, but still...

Federalist Paper 68
Federalist Paper 68 argues that the function of the electoral college is so that “the office of President will never fall to the lot of any who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications.” The framers of the constitution were hoping to avoid a situation in which the voters at large were swayed by a candidate who had “talents for low intrigue, and the little arts of popularity.”

Who wrote Federalist Paper 68? Alexander Hamilton

Problem is, dummy, your savior, the pansy-in-chief who has been steering this sinking ship for the past 8 years, qualifies as an outright traitor to the foundations of almost EVERYthing layed out by The Federalists

5. Thank you. I love this history stuff. Please keep up the original documents.

Challenge accepted.
Do you want to start on the parts that tell us The Constitution isn't written for The People, but is, in fact, a restraining order written to the elected government?

The Constitution works when we adhere to it.

Admittedly, it fell short in 2008 and 2012, but it worked well in 2016.

The writers of the USC were prescient. but not Gods. They knew future Presidential candidates would include demagogues like Obama and big-city-oriented candidates like Hillary, so they used the Electoral College as an extra hurdle - not a perfect barrier, which would be impossible - for such folk. Obama leaped the hurdle, twice; Hilary face-planted, hopefully once and for all.

What Hamilton was saying is that the force of urban areas should not install a despot that bends to their will.
He saw the dumbocrat party of 2016.

This is as funny as when they pick up a Bible and try to interpret what it says.
