North Korea test-fired a short-range missile off its east coast on Monday, the same day it announced the death of leader Kim Jong-Il, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said.

coincidence?  or a message to S. Korea that they aren't backing down an inch even after the death of the little troll?

There are no coincidences in that part of the world, or in the mid-East.

Why are they firing missiles off now?  2 so far?  they are short range and just going into the sea.  Is there something I don't know? :mental:

"Sources" are saying that these firings were already scheduled and the timing is just a coincidence.  :tinfoil2:

Ooooh, so they're calling them "Short Range Missiles" now, instead of "Long range missiles capable of reaching the US mainland".   :rotf:

Kind of makes me wonder if some of his top generals are hoping to exploit his death to be more militaristic than usual.

Korea has been the whipping boy of southeast Asia for most of the 20th century.  When the Imperial Japanese started their 'world tour' after the Russo-Japanese war, Korea was the first stop.

Strong?  Not quite strong enough.
