Clinton Hints At Sharing Ticket With Obama

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton hinted at the possibility of a Democratic "dream ticket" with Sen. Barack Obama.

Speaking on "The Early Show" on CBS, Clinton said "that may be where this is headed, but of course we have to decide who is on the top of the ticket."

Clinton said the race between her and Obama remains "incredibly close," with just "smidgens of difference" between them in both the popular vote and number of delegates.

Clinton's remarks came after her campaign won two big states yesterday: Ohio and Texas. She also won Rhode Island. The wins enabled her campaign to break Obama's 12-state winning streak and pick up some momentum of its own.

Speaking later on "The Early Show," Obama congratulated Clinton on her victories while maintaining he would be able to wrap up the Democratic nomination.

"We still have close to an insurmountable lead in delegates," Obama said. Obama said his campaign had won nearly twice as many states as Clinton as well as a greater share of the popular vote.

I just can't see either of them being Veep to the other.

I can't see it either. But stranger things have happened. Back room deals and power alliances being what they are.

And honestly? I think we would be done for if they teamed up. It would unite all of the Dems (save for the idiots who got bent out of shape over who was on top of the ticket - but they would come around).

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

If she was the nominee, she would pick Obama but I doubt he would pick her. Too many Clinton bodies along the way.

It would be a wet dream of a ticket for the Democrat Party.

The Hildabeast is getting desparate; she is behind in the delegate count and the super delegates will determine the outcome at the National Convention. This is going be fun to watch because the Bitch is going to pull out all the stops. Her surrogates are going to dig up or manufacture plenty of dirt on the Magic Negro. Another funny aspect of this race is that each is whinning about the other receiving more favorable press time from liberal rags than the other. Watched Chris Matthews the other night and he seemed to enjoy the battle between these two. Good news for the Repubs.

Obama "You will not see me as the VP on the ticket".
I was watching MSNBC and it came across the ticker when they were going over the results.

Anyone know what speech or presser he said this at?

I like that he said this...

If Hillary gets the top spot, many blacks may stay home in protest.  If Obama gets the top spot, there are a lot of Democrats who will not vote for a black man.

Interesting.

He'd better start writing his will and giving his shit away to family members if she lets him take the top slot, poor guy.  There's more dead bodies around the Clintons than at the scene of your average B52 strike.

They need to take a second look at how dems treat self-actualizing blacks like Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Clarenc Thomas, Michael Steele, Condi Rice, Janice Rogers Brown, etc.

These are people embraced and idolized by so-called racist right-wingers yet they endure the most lurid racial epithets from the left.

Blacks have been lied to about which party is more open and willing to see them succeed. They need to realize this. Maybe a Hillary nomination--especially a brokered one--will help them find this truth.

Correct: nappy heads are not going to vote for Hillary in big numbers. Some whites will not vote for Obama because of his race but many will not because of his lack of experience and his socialistic policies.

Obama: 'If I am not ready, how is it that you think I should be such a great vice president?'

COLUMBUS, Miss -- Sen. Barack Obama delivered an animated rebuke today of suggestions from the Clintons in recent days that he could run as her vice president.

“Now first of all with all due respect, with all due respect," he said here during a town hall meeting. "I won twice as many states as Sen. Clinton. I won more of the popular vote than Sen. Clinton. I have more delegates than Sen. Clinton. So I don’t’ know how someone in second place can offer the vice presidency to someone in first place. If I was in second place I could understand but I am in first place right now.

He referenced comments from Bill Clinton in 1992 that his “most important criteria” for vice president was that person must be ready to be commander in chief.

“They have been spending the last two or three weeks” arguing that he is not ready to be commander in chief, Obama said.

“I don’t understand. If I am not ready, how is it that you think I should be such a great vice president?” Obama asked the crowd, which gave him a standing ovation during his defense. “I don’t understand.”

“You can’t say he is not ready on day one, then you want him to be your vice president,” Obama continued. “I just want everybody to absolutely clear: I am not running for vice president. I am running to be president of the United States of America.”

Teh Clintons just got PWN3D by Obama.   :-)
