US Vice President Biden hits nerve in Russia

"MOSCOW – An interview U.S. Vice President Joe Biden gave to an American newspaper was front-page news Monday in Moscow, where his characterization of Russia as a weakened nation hit a raw nerve.
Biden said Russia's economic difficulties are likely to make the Kremlin more willing to cooperate with the United States on a range of national security issues.
"I think we vastly underestimate the hand that we hold," he said in an interview to The Wall Street Journal published Saturday.
Biden's comments appeared to catch the Kremlin by surprise, coming less than three weeks after President Barack Obama said on a visit to Moscow that the U.S. wants to see a "strong, peaceful and prosperous Russia."
"It raises the question: Who is shaping U.S. foreign policy? The president or members of his team, even the most respected ones?" said Kremlin foreign policy adviser Sergei Prikhodko." Yahoo

Joe "The Gaffe" Biden is second in line to be president.  Would we really want 0Bama impeached?  It's a toss up, but......

Showing Obama the door would neuter the rest of the administration, which works for me. What would be awful is if Obama left because of illness or death. Then the rest of the administration would be emboldened to push all of his polices through in his memory, and the RINOs would play along.

There would be a certain entertainment value in having Biden as President, as long as we were well into economic recovery and there were no immediate threats of nuclear war at stake.

I guess when the next election cycle comes along we will know before hand what mess we have had with this administration and hopefully be smarter as a nation to believe a inexperienced man could "change" our nation.

Russia responds with two attack submarines patrolling our Eastern Coastal Waters.  Reminiscent of the cold wars, according to officials.

Disclaimer:  Currently on the front page of Yahoo News.  Not providing a link, as it's an Arse'P article.

Disclaimer 2:  While having no navy experience, I'd be surprised if Russia didn't always have subs patrolling the international waters of the Atlantic.  So I feel this is partially a sensational article.

I don't think it is that common anymore to patrol off the coasts.  Satellites can provide better intel than a sub off the coast.  We haven't heard about anything like this in years.

I'm sure their surveillance satellites work as well as their subs.  Except there is nobody on the satellites to nursemaid them and fix the broken shit. 

The sub patrols are Russia's attempt to re-assert itself as a world player, there really isn't anything we can do to stop it so there isn't any point in getting wound up about it.
