Title: Is it slow, or is it just my computer? Maybe lots of traffic tonight?
Post by: soleil on November 02, 2010, 05:49:35 PM
I never know with my computer. It's been running wonderfully since Thor helped me, but still...

Yeah, it's running pretty slow.

Is it me or is the CC still in the dirt this morning? In the last 1/2 hour I have had six time-outs...are we still that busy?

It took me over an hour this morning to access my email and here....I think it's the whole internet.

I've had problems with other sites, too. This one seems to go from normal to slow periodically today.

The only sites I've noticed being slower than usual have been CC and a couple of Chicago newspaper sites.  They're probably running slower due to the uncertainty of the governor's race.  Don't know about CC, unless there are lots of lurkers about.

This one has been slower than most, but the news sites are unbearable too.  Doesn't help that they have every frigging graphic known to man on there either.

Yeah, the Chicago Tribune page has timed out a couple of times this morning.  Facebook has also been slow at times.

CC has been really slow, slowest ever. I guess it has to do with the elections. It is not slow other sites. Even Drudge Report is easy for me to access.

CC is slow, but seems to be getting better. All other sites work well for me.

I think that the real problem reared it's ugly head tonight. It appears that something in the Web Host's network was starting to fail Nov 2nd and finally failed tonight. At least that's MY opinion, FWIW.

The site went down completely last night didn't it?

I think so. I couldn't post at all. Kept getting the "page has expired" window.
