Howard Dean Should be Given a Job
« on: January 17, 2009, 06:19:31 PM »
They're starting to fight among themselves more often and more aggressively now that the boogey man is leaving their lives. It's great to watch them self destruct now that the uniting influence of GW Bush is fading.

Why Obama Didn't Give Howard Dean a Spot in His Administration is Beyond Us.

Dean ending 30-year political career

By NEDRA PICKLER – 2 hours ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — Outgoing Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Friday he would have liked to work in the Obama administration, but instead is embarking on a life in the private sector after nearly 30 years in politics.

Dean told The Associated Press in an interview that he is weighing where next to take a career that has moved rapidly from family doctor to Vermont governor to presidential candidate to national party boss. This Wednesday, he ends a term as chairman in which Democrats recaptured the White House, seized majorities in Congress and picked up governorships.

Some of his supporters have been upset that after all he's done for Democrats, President-elect Barack Obama did not pick him for an administration job. When asked how he felt, Dean said he would "punt on that one."

1. Had it been Howard Dean paying for the inaugural festivities, he might have easily secured

A spot or two or three in the Administration.

I mean, I cannot fathom why no Dean, why no Kucinich, why there is no one from the economic realm who has been putting a bite on Kashkari or Paulson. Instead we get Geithner, Rubin and Summers.

Yeesh!

Had Dean been the one to "pony up the dough" for the inaugural festivities, it wouldn't have been any way near as extravagant as a taxpayer funded version. After all you can't ask em to spend their own money when they have their hands on your purse strings.

7. Obama's #1 mistake: not allowing DU to make all his decisions for him.

Then we would undoubtedly have perfection here at the font of all wisdom.

Ouch !

33. DU's big mistake: Letting Obama supporters act like nagging thought police.

This site isn't a gulag of center-right, slobbering, hero worship. Go look up the words "Populism" and the root of the word democracy "Demos". If your leader-hero is so infallible, why are you on a political discussion website? What's to talk about? Go light a candle under your painting of Leader and STFU.

Oh my.

Did the madflordian show up at this bonfire?

One wonders what it was, exactly, that Harold Dean or Dean Howard or whatever his name is, did.  We all know he ruined Vermont, once one of the most distinctive states in the union, but now a cesspool.

I guess that if Obama creates a cabinet post for dealing with the little grey aliens and talking them into giving us a lot of really cool technology then Kucinich would be a good choice. Howard Dean would be a good choice for Secretary of Misplaced enthusiasm.

Howard Dean may go back to being an MD in Vermont.  Makes me want to stay out of that state.

Dean should be institutionalized.    The only reason why he got the DNC job is because the Clintons wanted him out of the way.

What exactly is it that they think this schmuck actually did?

Wasn't Howard "The Right Wing Kiss-Ass Machine" Dean recently on the Little Goon's hate list?  Why do they care now?

I would love to ski some trees with herr Dean.

If Howard Dean needs a job...I've got a car that needs to be washed and a yard that needs to be mowed.

I'm betting Deaniac said some things over the last couple of years that PO'd the wrong people.

I wish he was in the admin.  He's  :mental:  so at least it'd be fun to watch him implode again.

Yeah, but he did implement that "50-state" strategy that worked pretty well for the Dems.

I'd love to see him in the Obadministration.
