George Bush has proven the most honest, the most principled, president of my lifetime. He's skyscrapers above his predecessor, and miles out into the stratosphere above the Incompetent One, 1977-1981.

If he were more of a politician, if he were better at self-promotion, his popularity would be higher. His biggest weakness, in my opinion, was the seeming reluctance to take his case directly to the people rather than letting his plans and his character get savaged in the MSM.
I didn't agree with President Bush on several important issues (immigration, that horrific education bill, his spending, and the bailout come immediately to mind) but there is no questioning his heart, his principles, and his character.
