There is a reference section next to the DUmpster, the DUmping Ground.

"Bouncy Ball tale" made the Urban Dictionary

Bouncy Ball's Greatest Hits

I assume the Skin's Island reference came from something like Lord of the Flies or possibly Robinson Crusoe.  It's a modern-day freak show.

No, no, sir.  Sorry for the confusion.

"Skins" was Skinner's rugby-playing nickname at Yale.

It's Skins's island because democraticunderground is very reminescent of a remote isolated faraway small island in the center of nowhere, its inhabitants unaware of the greater wide world outside.

Or if not that, a small island nearby but enveloped in a poisonous fog, a miasma of ignorance and malice.

I first noticed the "island" illustration on the update "alerts" while the freepers were killing Andy. It was hilarious.

I've since come to associate the island with the Monkey Island, surrounded by its moat, that I always enjoyed watching at the zoo.

The monkeys on Skins's island share so many characteristics with the ones at the zoo, they provide tons of entertainment.

You might remember this one, too, sir, from the DUmmie ALERT!s:

The main one however was an image of the not-yet-late red round one appearing on some obscure television show.  I never saved that image, and now regret it.  I have no idea why I deleted it.

"Hacking Democracy" - HBO documentary starring Andy Stephenson

http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/hackingdemocracy/index...

Just got this from Andy's partner, Ted:

"Looks like Andy has hit the 'Big Time!' Andy was in a 30 minute documentary released in 2004 titled "Votergate." But now in time for the elections the film makers (Russ & Rob) have used additional footage to make an updated full length documentary feature titled "Hacking Democracy" and dedicated the film to Andy. It will be released on HBO this coming Thursday, Nov. 2nd. Additional showing will air. Hope you all get a chance to see it! Russ tells me there is footage of Andy in it I haven't seen. I'm on pins and needles! LOL, Ted"

(emphasis mine)

It airs 11/2 at 9pm.

This of course was about 15 months after the demise of the late red round one.

1. In that case, his wikipedia entry should be brought back.

It never was, because the late red round one was pretty much a non-entity.

More likely that franksolich will have a wikipedia entry than the late red round one.

12. Judging by the HBO website, it seems like there's more focus on...

...Bev Harris than anyone else. :grr:

But, nice to see Andy mentioned.

25. I hope someone saved Stephenson's wiki page, because this should put him back up there. This should quell the administrators' problems with him not being famous enough.

Hmmmm, I somewhat know the story of the late Red Round One. The manipulation, and dirty schemes in order to pilfer money. I indeed know of some of the scamdal, however, I wis I was here when it was all going down, because part of me is still in the dark for some reason. I dunno if it's better that way or not...

Is it weird that when I heard that name, I automatically thought of the sitcom "Roseanne?" Her mom in the show. My mind makes odd leaps sometimes, I guess.

Bev Harris, a prominent election-fraud activist, had been the employer of the late red round one, until the late red round one hooked up with a foe of hers, the malicious cartoon character, the "Kelvin Mace" primitive.

The malicious cartoon character had tried to cheat her on a book deal, and because she wouldn't let him cheat her, he hated her.

The malicious cartoon character had a large following on Skins's island, and with the help of the late red round one, the prominent election-fraud activist was libeled, slandered, harassed, and hounded.

This was just before the Scamdal broke (3:30 p.m. central time, 2:30 p.m. mountain time, Thursday, April 30, 2005), and during the Scamdal it was popular among the primitives to allege that she'd caused the late red round one to catch pancreatic cancer, and was in some way involved with his not getting medical care for it.

Just another innocent party getting shit thrown by the primitives, nothing more than that.

Bev Harris scammed more dough out of the moonbat nation than the red round gayboy could ever dream of.

She struck when the iron was white hot, and raked in huge sums.

Thousands of DUmbasses actually thought she could overturn President Bush's reelection, up until, and even after, his second inauguration.

She could have taken them for even more if she could have avoided being such a hateful bitch, but that was asking too much.

It is after all, to the Bev Harris campaign that we are eternally indebted for the timeless phrase, "Just $10 away from..."

I've tried to type in url's, and missed two letters while inebriated sometimes, and it doesn't work, but this one works? What the hell?

Actually, I'm sure that was probably the idea behind it. Makes it easier for the DUmpster Divers. :-)

Did Skinner really used to play rugby?

That's a real sport, and from what I remember he's a skinny little runt - he'd have been snapped in half.

It was at blue-blood, Yankee Yale...it's not like he was playing against the All-Blacks or something.
