What on earth is that?

From Wikipedia:

Quote
The axolotl (/ˈæksəlɒtəl/; etymol. Nāhuatl āxōlōtl [aː'ʃoːloːt͡ɬ] (singular) or āxōlōmeh [aː'ʃoːloːmeʔ] (plural) "water monster").

[1]Also known as a Mexican salamander (Ambystoma mexicanum) or a Mexican walking fish, is a neotenic salamander, closely related to the tiger salamander.

Although the axolotl is colloquially known as a "walking fish", it is not a fish, but an amphibian. The species originates from numerous lakes, such as Lake Xochimilco underlying Mexico City.

You never told us the name of the ugliest animal. I thought it was Rosie O'donnell.

Oh no. "Rosie O'Donnell" is the name of the world's ugliest pile of animal excrement, not the world's ugliest animal.

I never heard of that thing at the top of the page!  Freakish, if cute-ish.  Not sure I'd want to pick it up, though.  I'd definitely want to pick up the goldens.
