Newbie from WI here. I stumbled upon CC over at CU where I've lurked around for the past several months. I've also bee a lurker over at DU for several years as a pastime and find it to be an endless source of free laughs, while at the same time finding myself in awe of their craziness.

As you well know, the political enviro up here is in hyper-overdrive-crazy gear. Our great Governor, who hasn't even been in office for a year, is taking cheap shots left and right from the lefties and their union bosses, both locally and nationally. They basically want a do-over election that would nullify the will of the voters just last year. They are making WI their ground zero. It is very frustrating, and I am glad I came across this fine site that I'm sure will help me keep my sanity.

There are a few choice DUmmies up in my neck of the woods that, while not making the cut this year for a DOTY, deserve to have their idiocy acknowledged. This ought to be fun!   

BTW, The DOTY awards are an absolute blast! I had to join after busting my gut for the past several hours reading them.

Welcome; we've got lots and lots of stuff here, and I encourage you to check out all the forums, not just the DUmpster.

Not just once or twice, but maybe a few times over the next couple of weeks, and I'm sure you'll see many more other things of interest, too.

I have heard of it, but had to Google map it to see where it is. That is a beautiful part of the state. In the Fall, my wife and I like to occasionally make our way out to the west side of the state to see the colors. We'll hit the edge, head north following the river, and usually end up in the LaCrosse area for a night before heading back east. Thanks for the welcome! :cheersmate:

Ahhh, Janesville. Nice little city. Proud home to Paul Ryan. Sadly, also home to yet another monument of failed liberal policies- the now shuttered GM plant. :(

Spent many happy childhood summers camping in a small burg just north of the city.

I'm confident Walker will prevail. It's the lefty disinformation and smear machine that's driving me absolutely friggin' nuts! :argh: Here's an example I was going to venture into the DUmpster with as my debut post:
