Disappointed the shooter was white, right wing sites are saying Paddock was a recent Muslim convert.

I've seen a fair amount of speculation, but probably not much more than there was on DU. Speculation flourishes when facts are scarce. I think conservatives are a little less inclined to conclusion-jumping, and much more willing to adjust their ideas to conform to facts.

I have seen zero expressions of disappointment, consternation, etc. at the color of the shooter's skin. ZEEEE-RO.

2. Did he post anything anywhere concerning his reasons?

The Daily Mail had reported they talked to his brother, he claims he just snapped. Which I think is BS. This had to be planned in advance, the motel room, the firearms and the rest.

The police will find either a suicide note or a manifesto soon to confirm this was planned and not spur of the moment.

Why not pull this stunt during the iHeartRadio Music Festival with a higher attendance and in the exact same venue last weekend??  I'm m pretty sure I know why...

It's from Gateway Pundit, which DU-folk would reflexively dismiss, but the article links to at least one more conventional news site. What is telling to me is the summary sub-head for the Gateway blogpost:

In a bizarre turn of events, the Islamic State is claiming Las Vegas suspect Stephen Paddock carried out the attack on behalf of the terror group. The shooting suspect allegedly ‘converted to Islam months ago.’

That first phrase means that the Gateway writer himself did not immediately and reflexively assume the shooting was Islamic terrorism. Note also the cautious choice of words, claiming and allegedly. It's a degree of caution DU-folk would do well to emulate, but would be much more likely to dismiss and denigrate.

Given the recent track record of mass shooters being left leaning haters I would guess that the mold hasn't quite been broken yet. Until we find out if he just went nuts or history repeated itself I am only guess as much as the DUmpmonkies. I understand he scrubbed all his hardware before embarking on this thing, which means it may be forensically recoverable, but you can pretty well count on the FBI keeping whatever they dig out of it close to their chests for possibly years...especially if he is connected to Democrat anti-Trumpers in some way.  In that case I would expect the FIBbers to sit on it for as long as possible in order not to stir shit up.

This guy was freaking diabolical in the literal sense of the word.  This was well-planned, well-executed and he seemed to cover every base no matter how small.

Rich, enjoying the accouterments of a High Roller in an upscale casino, successful by almost any measure, apparently brilliant, he planned this out step by step, bit by bit, like a developer writing a program he desk checked for all bugs.
